Earthquake
The ground shakes and rumbles!
RUMBLE RUMBLE!
Under the ground, the Earth’s surface is made of giant pieces called tectonic plates – like a big jigsaw puzzle! Sometimes these pieces push against each other and then suddenly slip. That makes the ground shake – that’s an earthquake!
💡 Fun Fact: The Earth has tiny earthquakes every single day – most are so small that nobody can feel them! Scientists use special machines called seismographs to detect them.
🎨 Drag the two plates apart and watch what happens!
